Search Engine

Search engines are the typical way to find information on the internet you are looking for.  Search engines use search terms and keywords to locate websites related to that information.  The search engines base their searches on several points from keywords, content and images and relevance of the content.  Perhaps the most well known search engine is Google which is used by millions of people everyday but there are others such as Yahoo, MSN, Alta Vista and many more.



Web search engines store information about thousands of web pages that they are able to save from the web. A tool called a web crawler follows every link it sees and displays the information to the user.
